About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Coordinator to support our Purchasing Manager/team with the day-to-day administration and coordination of purchasing activities across the business.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with previous purchasing experience who is highly organised, detail-focused, and confident dealing with suppliers and internal teams. You will help ensure orders are processed accurately, stock requirements are managed, and suppliers deliver on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Purchasing Manager with day-to-day purchasing activities.
- Raise and process purchase orders for stock, raw materials, equipment, and general supplies.
- Monitor stock levels and support stock replenishment and MRP requirements.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, specifications, and delivery dates.
- Monitor outstanding orders and chase suppliers for updates.
- Obtain and compare quotations and maintain accurate supplier information.
- Assist with resolving purchasing and invoice discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and ERP system data.
- Produce basic purchasing and stock reports.
- Work closely with Finance, Warehouse, Production, and Operations.
- Arrange occasional staff travel and accommodation.
- Provide general administrative and coordination support to the Purchasing Manager.
- Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes and efficiency.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a purchasing, procurement, buying, or supply chain role.
- Good understanding of purchasing processes and supplier management.
- Experience raising and managing purchase orders.
- Experience with stock purchasing or inventory control.
- ERP experience, such as SAGE or similar, desirable.
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and administration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.

This role is office based, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm.
Pay: £28,000.00 per year
