Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Bar and Restaurant Staff. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a lively hospitality environment, providing exceptional guest service while supporting the daily operations of our bar and restaurant. The ideal candidates will possess a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. This position is paid and suitable for those looking to develop their skills within the food and beverage industry.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and ensure they receive attentive service throughout their visit
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, providing menu recommendations and upselling where appropriate
- Serve food and beverages in accordance with safety and hygiene standards
- Prepare simple food items and assist in basic food preparation tasks as required
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including tables, counters, and service stations
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments using POS systems
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and organisational policies
- Assist in setting up for events or special functions when necessary
- Collaborate with team members to deliver a seamless dining experience for all guests
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is desirable
- Familiarity with serving procedures, guest services, and upselling strategies will be beneficial
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with guests and team members
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanour
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
