Freedom Cleaning is a local, family-run cleaning company that has supported households across Scunthorpe and the surrounding area since 2015.
We are looking for a reliable, friendly and hardworking Part-Time Domestic Cleaner to join our team. You will visit customers in their own homes, providing a professional and dependable cleaning service tailored to their individual requirements.
The role offers approximately 16 hours per week, primarily during daytime hours from Monday to Friday. Actual hours may vary from week to week depending on customer bookings, cancellations, holidays and operational requirements. Additional hours may sometimes be available but are not guaranteed.
As you will be working in customers’ homes, it is important that you are trustworthy, respectful and able to maintain customer confidentiality.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Cleaning customers’ homes to an agreed standard
- Vacuuming carpets and floors
- Sweeping and mopping hard floors
- Dusting and wiping surfaces
- Cleaning kitchens and bathrooms
- Cleaning mirrors and internal glass
- Emptying bins and completing general finishing touches
- Following individual cleaning instructions and agreed priorities
- Using cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly
- Managing the allocated cleaning time effectively
- Communicating politely and professionally with customers
- Reporting damages, concerns or changes to the office team
- Treating customers, their homes and belongings with care and respect
- Following company procedures and health and safety guidance
Experience and Personal Qualities
Previous professional cleaning experience would be helpful, but it is not essential, as guidance and support will be provided.

A full UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle are required for this position.
The successful applicant must provide evidence of their right to work in the UK and complete the necessary pre-employment checks. An appropriate DBS check may also be required.
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 12.71 per week
