Job Summary

Duties

- Support clients with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs to promote healthy living.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that encourage social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Manage behavioral challenges with patience and effective behavior management techniques.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Administer medication following prescribed instructions under supervision or as trained.
- Support clients with dementia or Alzheimer’s care by implementing specialized techniques tailored to their needs.
- Document care activities accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare teams regarding client status.
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living or home care environments demonstrating compassionate caregiving skills.
- Strong patient care skills with knowledge of nursing home procedures and hospice or dementia care practices.
- Familiarity with medication administration, first aid, and basic nursing tasks.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely when assisting clients with mobility or transfers.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviors empathetically while maintaining professionalism.
- Knowledge of meal preparation tailored to dietary restrictions or health conditions.
- Experience in child or senior care is a plus, demonstrating versatility in caregiving roles.
