Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive technical expertise, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a strong commitment to delivering outstanding service. This role involves diagnosing complex equipment issues, performing repairs, and ensuring optimal operation of machinery across various sectors. The Master Technician will play a pivotal role in maintaining the efficiency and safety of our operations, providing expert guidance and support to junior technicians and clients alike.
Duties
- Interpret and work from detailed schematics and technical diagrams to diagnose faults and plan repairs.
- Conduct comprehensive mechanical inspections and perform maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to carry out repairs, assembly, and modifications.
- Lead complex equipment repair projects, including troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
- Assist with the installation, calibration, and commissioning of new machinery or upgrades.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating technical information clearly and professionally to clients.
- Perform heavy lifting as required to move or position large components safely.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and diagnostics carried out for compliance and quality assurance purposes.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, adhering to best practices for safe operation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Master Technician or in a similar senior technical role specialising in machinery or equipment repair.
- Strong knowledge of schematics, mechanical systems, electrical components, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly procedures.
- Demonstrated ability in maintenance tasks including diagnostics, repairs, and preventive upkeep.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in physically demanding environments.

Pay: From £32,000.00 per year
