Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Activity Co-ordinator to join our team in providing engaging and meaningful activities for residents in a care home setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for organising and facilitating a variety of recreational programmes tailored to the needs of our residents, with a particular focus on enhancing their quality of life through social, cognitive, and physical activities. Experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or senior care is highly desirable. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of older adults, including those requiring dementia or Alzheimer's care.
Duties
- Plan, organise, and lead a diverse range of activities suitable for residents’ interests and abilities, including arts and crafts, music sessions, games, and outings.
- Foster an inclusive environment that encourages participation from all residents, respecting individual preferences and limitations.
- Collaborate with care staff to assess residents’ needs and develop personalised activity plans.
- Maintain accurate records of activities conducted and resident participation levels.
- Monitor residents’ responses to activities, adjusting programmes as necessary to optimise engagement and well-being.
- Promote social interaction among residents to support emotional health and community spirit.
- Ensure all activities are conducted safely, adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and team members to ensure activities meet individual needs and preferences.

Pay: £12.71-£12.72 per hour
