Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled self employed class 2 Truck Driver. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods using a flatbed lorry. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate various routes while adhering to delivery schedules.
Duties
- Operate a flatbed lorry to deliver goods to various locations in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all cargo is loaded and secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries,
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods as required.
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for operating flatbed lorries.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
