The Role
We’re done relying on subcontractors who let customers down. We’re building a permanent, in-house team, and this is a chance to join a growing local business at the right time, not just take a job.
You’ll be fitting and servicing high-end gas fires in beautiful homes in and around Ringwood and the surrounding New Forest and South West area, the kind of properties where quality of work and quality of finish really matter. We’ll also train you up on air conditioning installation and wood burner fitting so you become genuinely multi-skilled. No two weeks look the same: fires, AC, stoves. And as we move into solar PV and battery storage in 2027, there’s real scope to grow with us into new specialisms and higher earning potential.
What you’ll be doing
- Installing and servicing gas fires (Gas Safe registered)
- Fitting air conditioning systems (Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Clivet, Midea), full training provided
- Training toward HETAS wood burner installation
- Representing No1 on every job: reliable, tidy, on time, customer-first
- Working directly with our established office and installation team, no more chasing subbies

- Real progression: this role can grow into a senior/lead engineer position as we expand into solar PV and battery storage in 2027
What we’re looking for
- Gas Safe registered engineer (essential)
- Full UK driving licence
- Reliable. This is the single most important thing to us
- Willing to learn AC and wood burner installation
- Good with customers; represents the business well on-site
