About the role:
We are looking for a passionate and inspiring Media Teacher within the Creative Industries Faculty based at Reading College.
The post provides an excellent opportunity for a practitioner/tutor/developing teacher with passion and drive who is committed to enabling our students to unlock their potential and switch on to the power of learning. This role is incredibly varied, where no two days are the same and you have the ability to expose students to a wide range of skills including filming, editing, animation, visual effects, research techniques and more. September 2022 saw the launch of our brand new Media Suite in Reading, including a state-of-the-art studio and three new study spaces. This is a very exciting time to be joining the team.
This is a fixed term, part-time role working 9 hours over 2 days a week (0.40) until July 2027. This will be reviewed and possibly extended to continue depending on student recruitment for 27/28.
Teaching begins in the first week of September but we would be looking to onboard and integrate the successful applicant into the faculty team in late August.
