Job Title: Hygiene Manager
Location: Walkers Snack Foods, Pennine Place, Skelmersdale, WN8 9QF
Reports To: Head Office / Client
Job Purpose:
The Hygiene Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all cleaning and hygiene operations to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance are maintained across client sites. The role involves leading hygiene teams, managing schedules and resources, ensuring health and safety compliance, and maintaining excellent client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise hygiene and cleaning teams.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to company and client standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain hygiene quality standards.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, COSHH requirements, and company policies.
- Manage staffing levels, rotas, recruitment, training, and performance reviews.
- Monitor stock levels and order cleaning chemicals, equipment, and consumables as required.
- Investigate and resolve hygiene-related issues or client concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and compliance documentation.
- Liaise with clients and management to ensure service expectations are met and exceeded.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within hygiene operations.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a Hygiene Manager role.
- Proven experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of hygiene standards, COSHH, and health & safety regulations.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads effectively.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Good IT and reporting skills.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 08:00 – 16:00
Salary: £50,000-£60,000
