We’re looking for a passionate, hard-working Barista to join our team at Gladstone Bistro.
This is not your average coffee shop role. We’re a busy, independent bistro serving specialty coffee, matcha, smoothies, homemade lemonades, milkshakes, cocktails and fresh food cooked to order. As a result, we’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys variety.
What we’re looking for:
● A genuine passion for specialty coffee
● Confident latte art skills (preferred)
● Previous barista experience is ideal, but we’re happy to train the right person with a strong understanding of coffee and a willingness to learn
● Previous experience working behind a bar and serving alcoholic drinks
● A positive attitude and strong work ethic
● Someone who remains calm under pressure and takes pride in high standards
The role:
● Preparing specialty coffee to a consistently high standard
● Producing latte art on every service
● Making matcha, smoothies, milkshakes and homemade drinks
● Serving beer, wine, cocktails and other alcoholic beverages
● Supporting with daily prep and maintaining organisation behind the bar
● Delivering excellent customer service throughout every shift
This is a hands-on role with plenty of responsibility. There is always something to do, and we expect everyone to take ownership of their station and contribute to the wider team.
