Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dry Liner to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and finishing dry lining systems in various building projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction techniques, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities
- Measuring, cutting, and fitting plasterboard or other dry lining materials according to project specifications
- Fixing boards securely using hand tools and power tools, ensuring precise alignment and finish
- Taping, jointing, and finishing dry lining surfaces to achieve a smooth, professional appearance
- Assisting with the installation of insulation materials where required
- Reading and interpreting schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans
- Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations and site protocols
- Collaborating with other trades such as carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and masons to complete projects efficiently
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment throughout each project phase
Experience
- Proven experience in dry lining or related construction trades such as plastering or carpentry
- Knowledge of roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, masonry, and construction painting is advantageous
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, fabrication techniques, and schematics
- Experience working on large-scale construction sites or residential developments preferred
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately
- Previous experience in working with construction materials including plasterboard, insulation, and finishing compounds
