Care Assistant - Chamomile Gardens
£13.04 - £13.23 per hour | No Sponsorship Available
Care is Central is looking for compassionate and caring individuals to join our friendly team at Chamomile Gardens, an independent living scheme for people aged 55+.
As a Care Assistant, you will support residents to maintain their independence by providing personal care, medication assistance, companionship, light domestic support, and help with accessing the community. Full training is provided, including moving and handling and medication administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and continence support.
- Support individuals with medication (training provided).
- Carry out light domestic duties.
- Assist people to access the community and local services.
- Support safe moving and handling, including use of hoists (training provided).
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Communicate with families and healthcare professionals.
- Follow and update individual care plans.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and homely environment.
- Work proactively and positively as part of a team.
Requirements
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Caring, compassionate, and person-centred approach.
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (paid by the employer).
- Previous care experience is beneficial but not essential.
