Clwb Ein Harglwyddes is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and committed Early years practitioner to join our friendly team. This is a full time position (32.5 hours per week, term time only 6.5 hours x 5 days Monday - Friday) with the opportunity to work some hours during the school half term holidays. This is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young children in a nurturing preschool environment.
The role:
- Plan and deliver activities that promote learning across the EYFS areas for children in the setting’s age range
- Observe, assess and record children’s progress and use these records to inform planning and next steps
- Maintain a safe, hygienic and welcoming environment that meets statutory safeguarding and welfare requirements
- Support children’s personal, social and emotional development including managing behaviour sensitively and consistently
- Build positive partnerships with parents and carers, sharing daily updates and concerns appropriately
- Contribute to creating individual learning plans and transition records for children
- Follow and contribute to the setting’s policies on safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality and equality
- Work as part of a team, including attending staff meetings, supervision and training sessions
Essential requirement:
- NVQ level 2 in child care & playwork and willing to work towards a level 3
- Early years experience
- A fluent Welsh speaker or a Welsh learner
Desirable:
- NVQ level 3 in child care & play work
- Paediatric first aid certificate
- Safeguarding certificate
Pay: £12.71 per hour
