About the opportunity
Priority Mortgages is one of the largest and most established mortgage brokers in the local area, and we are looking for an experienced Mortgage & Protection Adviser to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hardworking and motivated adviser who wants to join a supportive business with a strong flow of opportunities.
You will benefit from organic enquiries generated through our established local presence, attendance at major shows and events, professional introducers, and our large existing client bank.
Your role
You will provide professional mortgage and protection advice while delivering an excellent service throughout the entire client journey.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising clients on residential, buy-to-let and other mortgage requirements
- Identifying and advising on clients’ protection needs
- Researching suitable products and lenders
- Managing cases from initial enquiry through to application and completion
- Maintaining accurate and compliant client records
- Building long-term relationships with new and existing clients
- Working closely with our administration and management teams
- Following up organic enquiries and opportunities from our existing client bank and events
What we’re looking for
The successful candidate should:
- Be CeMAP qualified or hold an equivalent recognised mortgage qualification
- Have at least two years’ experience providing mortgage and protection advice
- Have a strong understanding of mortgage and protection products
- Understand the full advice, application and completion process
- Have good knowledge of lenders and their criteria
- Be hardworking, motivated and organised
- Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Be confident managing their own workload and following up opportunities
- Have a strong client-first approach and a good understanding of compliance requirements
