Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and reliable Driver to join our energic depot team. We're looking for someone to join our team who is efficient, can think on their feet and always put the company 1st in terms of safety . This role offers an excellent opportunity if you have a Class 1 or 2 licence but wish to expand your skill set.
Responsibilities
- Secure the equipment safely using chains, binders and ratchets.
- Maintain good levels of customer service with the customers met on site.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks before and after journeys
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs via a mobile app.
- Communicate with the transport team regarding ETA's.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including compliance with driving hours and load limits
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles or similar lorries
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in transportation
- Excellent driving skills
- Ideally with experience in Plant, Powered access or Telehandlers(but not essential)
- Ability to operate various types of commercial vehicles confidently and safely
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
