Safer Rig Services is expanding, and we’re looking for a Drilling Rig Mechanic & Equipment Examiner who knows their way around heavy kit, understands the realities of site work, and takes pride in keeping rigs safe, compliant, and operational
This role sits at the heart of what we do: delivering competent, reliable inspection and maintenance services that meet the requirements of BS 16228:2012 – Drilling and Foundation Equipment Safety and support our clients across geotechnical, piling, ground investigation, and specialist drilling operations.---The RoleYou’ll be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, fault‑finding, and repair of drilling rigs and associated equipment, including but not limited to:
Rotary, cable percussion, and dynamic sampling rigs Hydraulic systems, mast structures, rotary heads, winches, and guarding Powerpacks, engines, pumps, hoses, and control systems Ancillary lifting accessories and rig‑mounted lifting points Safety systems, interlocks, emergency stops, and protective devices.
