Responsibilities
- Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicles in accordance with legal standards and regulations.
- Perform comprehensive inspections, including checking brakes, lights, steering, suspension, and emissions.
- Identify any defects or issues that may require repair or further investigation.
- Complete necessary documentation accurately and promptly.
- Communicate findings to customers clearly and professionally, providing recommendations for repairs if needed.
- Maintain testing equipment and tools in good working condition.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
Skills
- Proficient in heavy lifting as required during vehicle inspections and repairs.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues effectively.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail with a methodical approach to work.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
