Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Carpenter/Multi Trader to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of skills across various trades. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship and safety. The successful applicant will be responsible for executing multiple trade tasks efficiently while maintaining a safe and organised work environment.
Responsibilities
- Construct, install, repair, and maintain structures using various materials and techniques.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and effectively.
- Perform fabrication and assembly tasks for bespoke or standard components.
- Carry out joinery work, including cutting, fitting, and finishing timber elements.
- Undertake roofing repairs or installations as required.
- Assist with plumbing, masonry, electrical work, or construction painting when necessary.
- Handle heavy lifting and manoeuvre building materials safely around sites.
- Read technical drawings and specifications to ensure precise execution of tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects within deadlines while adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in carpentry, joinery, or multi-trade roles within construction or renovation environments.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, fabrication equipment, and assembly techniques.
- Knowledge of roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical systems, and construction painting is desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights when required.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Good understanding of health and safety standards relevant to construction sites.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in carpentry or related trades are preferred but not essential.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different tasks across multiple trades as needed.
Pay: £17.00-£22.00 per hour
