Woodland Wonders Forest School is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Freelance Level 3 Forest School Leader to join our growing team.
We are seeking a self-employed practitioner who shares our passion for child-led outdoor learning and can confidently deliver engaging Forest School sessions across a variety of settings including schools and woodlands.
This is a flexible freelance opportunity with work available throughout the academic year and school holidays across West Sussex.
Location
Chichester, Bognor Regis, Littlehampton, Billingshurst and surrounding areas.
About the Role
As a Freelance Forest School Leader, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality outdoor learning experiences that inspire confidence, resilience, independence and a connection with the natural world across our school sites, woodland settings and outdoor learning locations.
In addition to our term-time provision, Woodland Wonders Forest School is a provider for the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme, offering further opportunities to work during the school holidays.
You will be supported by an experienced and friendly team whilst maintaining the flexibility and independence that comes with freelance working.
Essential Requirements
- Level 3 Forest School Leader qualification (or equivalent)
- Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service
- Outdoor First Aid qualification (16-hour preferred)
- Full driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Experience leading Forest School sessions independently
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Confidence working with children and young people with a range of needs and abilities
Desirable
- Public Liability Insurance
- Safeguarding training
- Experience working with SEND and SEMH children and young people
- Beach School experience
- Teaching, youth work or therapeutic background
