Senior Children's Residential Support Worker

3-Bed EBD Children's Home | £16.50 per Hour
HJ Talent is recruiting on behalf of a well-established children's residential home in Stoke-on-Trent.
This is a 3-bed home supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). The home provides a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive and is looking for an experienced Senior Children's Residential Support Worker to join their dedicated team.
This role isn't always easy, but it is incredibly rewarding. Every day is different, and you'll play an important part in helping young people feel safe, supported and encouraged to reach their potential while leading by example on shift.
What you'll be doing
- Building positive, trusting relationships with the young people.
- Supporting them with daily routines, education and activities.
- Leading shifts and supporting the wider care team.
- Promoting a safe, stable and nurturing home environment.
- Working closely with colleagues and professionals to achieve the best outcomes.
- Completing daily records and reports to a high standard.
What we're looking for
We're interested in people with the right values as much as the right experience.
You'll ideally have:
- A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential).
- Experience working with children or young people within residential care, particularly EBD settings.
- Experience leading shifts or working as a Senior Support Worker.
- A caring, patient and resilient approach.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- A full UK driving licence (preferred).
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and sleep-ins where required.
