Due to continued growth, we have an immediate permanent vacancy for a professional Van ADR Multi-Drop Driver to join our team at our Scotland Depot in Uddingston, Glasgow.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial driver seeking permanent employment, ongoing training and a genuine opportunity to progress to Class 2 driving following the successful completion of 12 months’ service.
THE ROLE
- Van ADR Multi-Drop Driver
- Monday to Friday
- Pay: £12.71 per hour
- Paid weekly every Thursday
- Permanent, full-time employment
- Occasional Saturday work may be required upon request
- Full ADR training provided
- Opportunity to undertake Class 2 driver training after 12 months
- Full induction and ongoing operational support
You will complete planned multi-drop deliveries and collections, transporting palletised freight safely and efficiently while providing excellent service to our customers.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Completing planned multi-drop deliveries and collections
- Delivering goods safely, professionally and on time
- Driving and operating your vehicle in accordance with road traffic legislation and the Highway Code
- Completing all required daily vehicle safety checks
- Reporting vehicle defects promptly and through the correct Company procedures
- Keeping your vehicle clean, safe and serviceable
- Using all required safety equipment and personal protective equipment
- Following the Company’s health and safety standards and safe-working procedures
- Using an in-cab PDA to manage deliveries and collections
- Obtaining and returning proof-of-delivery documentation
- Completing all necessary paperwork accurately and efficiently
- Providing excellent customer service at every delivery and collection point
- Representing Clarke Transport professionally at all times
- Attending any training required to perform and develop within the role
- Completing any other reasonable duties requested by the management team

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a safe, professional and customer-focused driver who:
- Has at least two years of commercial driving experience
- Has completed at least six months of driving on UK roads
- Holds a full and valid UK driving licence
- Has no more than six penalty points
- Has previous multi-drop driving experience
- Has a positive, can-do attitude
- Takes a flexible and team-focused approach to work
- Is willing to complete occasional Saturday work when requested
- Maintains excellent health and safety standards
- Communicates confidently and professionally with customers and colleagues
- Has excellent verbal and written English and good numeracy skills
- Is comfortable using an in-cab PDA and other electronic systems
- Demonstrates excellent timekeeping and reliability
- Can complete paperwork accurately and efficiently
- Is willing to attend all training required for the role
- Has counterbalance forklift experience, although this is preferred rather than essential
- Wants to develop their career and become a long-term member of our team
