The Jamaica Inn is one of Bangor’s busiest and most established bar and restaurant venues, known for great food, quality service and a welcoming atmosphere. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated full-time team member to join our front-of-house team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and takes pride in delivering outstanding service.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a busy bar and/or restaurant environment
- Be confident managing their own section during peak service
- Deliver exceptional customer service consistently
- Work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Be reliable, hardworking, and fully flexible
- Thrive as part of a supportive, high-performing team
Full flexibility is essential, as shifts include weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming and engaging guests in a professional, friendly manner
- Taking and serving food and beverage orders efficiently
- Managing a section (restaurant floor or beer garden) during service
- Preparing drinks to a high standard behind the bar
- Running food and beverages promptly and accurately
- Processing payments correctly
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation
- Restocking bar and service areas at the end of each shift
