Empowering Learning is proud to be working in partnership with welcoming private day nurseries in and around the Teesside area. We are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and experienced Nursery Manager to lead a dedicated team and provide exceptional early years education and care.

As Nursery Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring children receive outstanding care, remain safe, and enjoy engaging learning experiences tailored to their individual needs. You will lead by example, inspire your team, and drive continuous improvement across the setting.

Lead and contribute to the delivery of a high-quality early years environment that meets the individual needs of children from a range of cultures, religious backgrounds, and developmental stages.

Plan and deliver exciting, engaging, and child-centred learning experiences based on children's interests and needs.

Monitor and quality assure children's learning, maintaining accurate assessment records and learning journals.

Ensure safeguarding remains the highest priority, promoting a strong culture of child protection and staff wellbeing.

Effectively manage the nursery, implementing long-term development plans and driving continuous improvement.

Ensure the nursery remains fully compliant with all relevant legislation, Local Authority requirements, and Ofsted standards.

Build positive partnerships with parents, carers, and external professionals, including Health Visitors, SEND services, and other early years agencies.

Lead, motivate, and develop the nursery team, overseeing recruitment, performance management, supervision, and professional development.

Take responsibility for all aspects of Health & Safety, including risk assessments, accident reporting, first aid provision, and fire safety procedures.
To be considered for this role, you will have:

Previous experience in a Nursery Leadership or Nursery Manager position.

Excellent knowledge of the EYFS Framework and current safeguarding legislation.

Outstanding communication, organisational, and leadership skills.

A genuine passion for delivering high-quality childcare and early years education.

A full and relevant Level 3 (or above) childcare qualification.
