We are a small manufacturing business looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our team as soon as possible.
This is a hands-on, physically demanding role, with a particular focus on warehouse duties, heavy manual handling and keeping goods moving efficiently around the business.
The role will include:
- Loading and unloading deliveries
- Regular heavy lifting and manual handling
- Moving pallets and stock around the warehouse
- Operating a forklift
- Picking and packing customer orders
- Preparing orders for dispatch
- Receiving and putting away stock
- Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and organised
- Supporting the production team when required
- Helping with general production and manufacturing tasks
- Other practical, hands-on duties as needed
About you
We're looking for someone who is:
- Reliable and dependable – good attendance and turning up ready to work every day is extremely important
- Physically capable of regular heavy lifting and manual handling
- Hardworking and willing to get stuck in
- Practical and hands-on
- Comfortable working on your feet and carrying out physical work throughout the day
- Able to work well as part of a small team
- Happy to support different areas of the business when required
- Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience is preferred
- Forklift experience/licence is preferred
This is an important role within our business and we're looking for someone who will become a reliable and valued member of the team.
The role is initially temporary, but there is potential for the right person to move into a permanent position.
We can be flexible around working hours, although our ideal hours would be Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm.
We're looking for someone who can start as soon as possible.
