About the Role
As one of The Sunday Times 100 fastest-growing companies in 2026, we’re looking for reliable and hardworking Food Production Assistants to join our growing manufacturing team on a zero-hours basis.
You’ll play an important role on our food production line, helping to manufacture and prepare our honey products to the high standards our customers expect. You’ll work as part of a fast-paced production team, supporting the smooth running of the line and helping us achieve our daily production targets.
This is a hands-on role focused on production line operations, including filling products, operating and monitoring machinery, sealing finished products, checking product quality and palletising completed goods.
Shifts are offered based on production requirements and your availability. You’ll be expected to follow production procedures, food safety requirements and hygiene standards carefully, ensuring products are manufactured safely, consistently and efficiently.
The zero-hours nature of the at opportunity for someone looking for flexible work. Previous food manufacturing or production line experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided on our equipment, processes and procedures.If you’re reliable, practical, have a good eye for detail and enjoy working in a hands-on production environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Production Support
- Support the operation of filling, sealing and labelling finished goods on a production line and operating production machinery following appropriate training.
- Assist with different stages of the production process as required.
- Work efficiently to support daily production targets.
- Comfortable lifting up to 15kg
Quality & Compliance
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies at all times.
- Carry out routine in-process checks, including product weights, label placement and seal integrity.
- Identify and immediately report any quality issues, errors or deviations to the Production Supervisor.
- Inform the Production Supervisor when ingredients, packaging or other production materials need replenishing
- Complete production records accurately and in a timely manner
- Ensure products are handled correctly throughout the production process.
Cleanliness & Safety
- Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic working environment throughout the shift.
- Follow cleaning and sanitation procedures for equipment, work areas and production facilities.
- Follow all health, safety and hygiene requirements at all times.
- Wear the required protective clothing and PPE correctly.
- Report any safety, hygiene or equipment concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
Team Support
- Work closely with other members of the production team to achieve daily targets.
- Be willing to move between different production areas and tasks depending on business requirements.
- Support colleagues and contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
- Take on additional reasonable duties to support the smooth running of the production operation.

Working Hours & Conditions
- Zero-hours contract – shifts are offered based on production requirements and your availability. We have multiple shift patterns available
- MON-FRI 6am - 2pm
- MON - FRI 9am - 5pm
- MON - FRI 2PM - 10pm
- Shifts may vary depending on production demands.
- Based on-site at our Trafford Park manufacturing facility.
- The role involves standing for extended periods, lifting, carrying and manual handling.
- Protective clothing and PPE will be provided.
- This is a hands-on role within a busy food manufacturing environment.
