At Highfield Preserves we're looking for a reliable Food Production Operative to join our friendly production team making our award-winning jams, marmalades, curds and chutneys.

The role
You'll work in our busy production kitchen helping to make and jar our products ready for customers across the UK.
The work is physical, fast-paced and repetitive at times, so we're looking for someone who enjoys routine, likes staying active and takes pride in maintaining high standards.
Typical duties include:
- Preparing ingredients
- Assisting with cooking
- Filling and lidding jars
- Packing products into trays
- Completing simple production records
- Keeping the production area clean and hygienic
- Following food safety procedures
What we're looking for
This role would suit someone who:
- Is reliable and turns up ready to work every day
- Enjoys practical, hands-on work
- Is happy carrying out repetitive tasks accurately
- Works well as part of a team
- Has a good eye for detail
- Takes pride in producing quality work
Food manufacturing experience is helpful but not essential. If you've worked in production, warehousing, manufacturing, catering or hospitality we'd love to hear from you.
Hours
- 4 x day shifts per week.
- Usually 6.00am–4.00pm
- Monday to Friday (rotating one day off)
- No weekends
Training
We'll provide full training including:
- Level 2 Food Hygiene
- HACCP Level 2
- Manual Handling
