Work: Amazon & Curtain Sider (Depot-to-Depot)

- £190–£210 per 12-hour shift
- Overtime: £18/hour

About the Role
We're looking for reliable Class 1 (C+E) drivers to join our Dartford operation, covering Amazon and Curtain Sider depot-to-depot work.
This is mainly depot-to-depot driving, meaning no stressful multi-drop routes or city-centre deliveries. The focus is on safe, efficient transport between distribution centres, making it an excellent role for both experienced drivers and those who have recently passed their Class 1 test.
Your Responsibilities
- Carry out daily vehicle and trailer safety inspections
- Check transport paperwork before starting each journey
- Ensure trailers and loads are secure and roadworthy
- Strap and secure loads where required on curtain sider work
- Drive safely while complying with UK drivers' hours, tachograph rules and mandatory rest breaks
- Follow planned routes and scheduled collection/delivery times
- Report any defects or delays promptly
- Maintain a professional attitude at all depots and customer sites
Please note: This is primarily depot-to-depot work, so loading and unloading by the driver is generally not required.
Who We're Looking For
- Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Settled or Pre-Settled Status (where applicable) or the legal right to work in the UK
- A reliable, professional approach and commitment to safety
