We are now looking for an exceptional Duty Security Manager to take operational command and lead security delivery on shift. About the Role:You will be:
Lead all security operations across the Museum estate during your assigned shift
Act as the senior incident manager, coordinating responses to emergencies, evacuations, and disruptions
Provide clear leadership and direction to Supervisors, Control Room teams, and frontline officers
Ensure all areas are effectively resourced, supervised, and operating to the highest standards
Maintain full oversight of operational risks, security threats, and service delivery performance
Promote a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment aligned with visitor experience goals
Oversee the protection of collections, exhibitions, archives, and high-value assets
Manage escalated incidents, visitor concerns, and stakeholder issues with professionalism and care
Lead post-incident reviews, ensuring lessons learned are captured and embedded
Drive compliance with SOPs, assignment instructions, health & safety standards, and contractual requirements

What we are looking for:
Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
Proven experience in a Security Manager, Duty Manager, or similar leadership role
Strong experience managing large operational teams in a customer-facing environment
Demonstrated ability to lead during incidents, emergencies, and high-pressure situations
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, across all levels
Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and risk management principles
Experience managing employee performance, attendance, and conduct issues
Ability to carry out investigations, fact-finding, and formal interviews
Commercial awareness with an understanding of service delivery within a contract environment
Calm, confident, and decisive leadership style with the ability to inspire and influence others
Desirable (but not essential)
Experience within a museum, heritage, or visitor attraction environment
CCTV Licence and/or formal leadership qualification
Knowledge of exhibition security, object protection, or cultural property safety
Experience managing high-profile events or VIP visits
