Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Domestic and Laundry Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing essential support in maintaining cleanliness and organisation within our facility, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic environment for residents and staff alike. Responsibilities
- Assist with daily domestic chores, including cleaning, tidying, and organising communal areas
- Manage laundry operations, including washing, drying, folding, and distribution of linen and clothing
- Ensure all laundry is processed efficiently and stored appropriately
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout all areas of the premises
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Support with stock management, including ordering supplies as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent service delivery
- Ensure the Home’s furniture, furnishings and fittings are sufficiently clean.
- Ensure all surfaces of floors, walls and ceilings are sufficiently clean.
- Empty wastebaskets and yellow/black bins daily ensuring that waste is disposed of safely in line with the requirements.
- Clean all internal windows monthly.
- Clean all bedrooms thoroughly once a week on a rota basis. Ensure that the communal areas are cleaned daily.
- Ensure all sinks, en-suites, bathrooms and toilets are cleaned daily.
- Chemicals must be stored in line with the COSHH requirements.
- Re-stock paper products and dispensers.
Experience
- Able to demonstrate an ability to manage pressure, prioritise tasks and communicate effectively at all levels
- Genuine interest in working in a social care environment.

Pay: £12.71-£12.72 per hour
