Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Deliver one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions across diverse subjects, including core academics and specialized areas such as special education.
- Develop tailored lesson plans and instructional materials that align with each student’s learning style and goals.
- Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly.
- Maintain clear communication with students and parents or guardians to ensure understanding of learning objectives and progress updates.
- Utilize our own weeTutor platform to deliver lessons.
- Support students in building confidence, study skills, and independent learning habits.
- Document session details, student achievements, and areas for improvement to track ongoing development.
Experience
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching Scottish curriculum, GTC registration required. We're looking for primary and secondary school teachers, current or retired who have taught in Scotland.
- Background in special education or experience working with students who have diverse learning needs is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to clearly convey concepts and motivate students remotely.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt instructional approaches based on individual student requirements.
- Familiarity with online teaching platforms and digital educational resources.
- Passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
- Candidates must be based in Scotland.
