Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Project Manager (CPM) that will serves as the central bridge between the client’s vision, the design team, and the tradespeople executing the work. In a house refurbishment involving complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, they ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required legal standards
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and ensuring all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) installations meet regulatory and quality standards. Carry out inspections, oversee testing and commissioning, identify defects before work is concealed, and maintain the documentation required for compliance and final approvals.
- Conduct regular process audits to identify areas for improvement in assembly lines and manufacturing workflows
- Lead initiatives for continuous improvement by analyzing data trends, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions
- Planning and working together across plumbing, heating, electrical, and ventilation systems coordinates the timing and sequencing of installations, verifies that each system is installed correctly, tested thoroughly, and complies with safety and performance requirements. This collaboration ensures a smooth, compliant, and high-quality refurbishment project.
Experience
- System Testing: Experience witnessing pressure, hydrostatic, and duct leakage testing.
- Code Compliance: Deep familiarity with national building regulations and gas safety standards.
- Material Verification: Verifying correct pipe schedules, insulation ratings, and equipment specifications.
- Circuit Verification: Inspecting continuity, insulation resistance, and grounding/earthing systems.
- Schematic Reading: Expertly interpreting line diagrams, containment layouts, and load schedules.
- Compliance Knowledge: Strict adherence to national electrical codes (e.g., BS 7671 or NEC).
- Hazardous Materials: Experience identifying and managing asbestos, lead, or mold risks.
Pay: £38,500.00-£44,500.00 per year
