Overview
Dental HYGIENIST:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Hygienist/Therapist to join our dental practice for the role of Dental Hygienist at The Hopton Dental Practice (NR31 9BE). Currently, this will be for every Friday. Each appointment is for 20 minutes and is assisted by a nurse.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality Hygienist care to patients, ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive team environment. Nursing support will be provided for this position.
Applicants must be registered with the GDC
This is a self-employed role, paid at £30/hour.

Duties
- Conduct comprehensive dental hygiene assessments and treatment.
- Perform professional cleaning procedures, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar build-up.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, diet, and lifestyle factors affecting dental health.
- Support the dental team with clinical procedures, maintaining sterilisation standards and infection control protocols.
- Document patient records accurately, including treatment plans and progress notes.
- Contribute to the organisation of patient appointments and follow-up care schedules.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or Therapist with relevant registration.
- Knowledge of CAD systems utilised in dental diagnostics and treatment planning.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage patient appointments efficiently.
- Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Knowledge of infection control standards and sterilisation procedures in a clinical setting.
