Electrician – Student Accommodation Refurbishment (Pricework Available)

Pay: £25.00 per hour CIS (Communal & Additional Works) | Excellent Pricework Available
Hours: 40–50 Hours per Week
Duration: 6+ months / 3 weeks for 1st phase

TimesGroup Ltd are looking for experienced Electricians to join our team on the refurbishment of 425 student apartments in Preston.
This is a long-term project offering excellent earning potential through a combination of pricework and hourly works.
The work is straightforward, repetitive and well organised, with materials readily available and minimal downtime between properties, allowing productive operatives to maximise their earnings.
The first phase of the project includes 82 studio bedrooms and 14 kitchens, with further phases to follow throughout the programme.
Operatives who demonstrate good productivity will be allocated multiple rooms and apartments at a time to help maximise efficiency and earnings.

Studio Bedrooms – £65 per Room
Scope includes:
- Replace 3 x Ceiling Light Fittings
- Replace 2 x Batten Light Fittings
- Replace Sockets
- Replace Switches
- Install 1 x Electric Heater
- Install 1 x Heated Towel Rail
- Install 1 x Extractor Fan
Kitchens – £85 per Kitchen
Scope includes:
- Replace 2 x Light Fittings
- Replace Switched Fused Spurs
- Replace Sockets
- Replace Switches
- Install Cooker
- Install 1 x Electric Heater
- Replace Consumer Unit (Fuse Board)
Hourly Works
Additional communal area works, landlord supplies, testing, remedial works and any non-standard electrical works will be paid at £25.00 per hour CIS.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrician.
- Previous experience on residential, apartment or student accommodation projects preferred.
- ECS/JIB Gold Card.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Ability to work from drawings and specifications.
- Own tools and PPE.
- Reliable, professional and able to work as part of a site team.
