Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Manager to oversee and ensure adherence to regulatory standards within our busy transport organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance programmes that align with industry regulations and internal policies. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with a strong background in compliance, internal audits and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and update compliance policies and procedures to meet current regulatory requirements.
- Be the first contact for Health and Safety and Compliance within the company.
- Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance levels across various departments.
- Driving digital compliance systems and continuous documentation improvements.
- Monitor changes in relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards to ensure organisational compliance.
- Coordinate with internal teams to implement compliance controls and training programmes.
- Prepare detailed reports on compliance status for senior management and regulatory authorities.
- Investigate any instances of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
- Oversee regulatory reporting processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders regarding compliance matters.
To be considered for the Compliance Manager role candidates must have:
- An analytical mindset with exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven experience in compliance and a background in logistics and transport.
- Strong communication skills, capable of training staff and preparing reports.
- Intermediate Excel, and MS Office skills are essential as is a high attention to detail with a pragmatic, solutions focused mindset.
- Professional qualifications such as CPC, NEBOSH, IOSH would be helpful but are not essential.
Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
