Air Conditioning Engineer – Flexible / Part-Time

We are looking for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to work with us on a flexible basis, with work offered on agreed days depending on customer demand and the engineer’s availability.
The aim is to make this straightforward, very well-paid additional work for the right engineer. Climate Systems will handle customer enquiries, marketing, administration, scheduling, invoicing and the wider management of each job, leaving the engineer to focus primarily on carrying out high-quality installations.
The role will include:
- Installation and commissioning of domestic single and multi-split AC systems
- Refrigerant pipework, pressure testing and evacuation
- Condensate drainage and associated installation works
- Providing technical input on installation requirements where needed
- Working alongside a qualified electrician where additional electrical works are required
- Providing a high standard of workmanship and service in customers’ homes
We are looking for someone with:
- Current F-Gas qualification, ideally Category 1
- Previous domestic air-conditioning installation experience
- Good understanding of the electrical requirements associated with AC installations
- Own tools and access to a suitable van
- Full UK driving licence
- Reliable, professional and comfortable working in customers’ homes
Pay and working arrangement
We want to make the arrangement very well-paid for the right engineer, with strong rates and minimal administration.
Work can be offered on weekdays or weekends by agreement, providing flexibility around existing commitments.
This would particularly suit an experienced engineer looking for very well-paid additional work alongside their existing employment or other commitments, or someone who has recently retired or is scaling back from full-time work and would like work on a flexible basis.
