Production Operative - Full Time Permanent Contract

We are recruiting for a Production Operative to join our Proactive Team. This team works primarily within the warehouse to support core business objectives and minimise any disruption to customer service levels caused by staff absences or seasonal peaks. The team also assists in delivering business improvement projects across the organisation.
The ideal candidate will be adaptable and enjoy a varied role with plenty of opportunities to develop new skills. A minimum of two years’ experience in a production/warehouse environment is essential. Because a significant part of the role involves machining and processing timber, applicants must demonstrate a genuine interest in woodworking and proven experience in wood cutting or wood‑machining tasks. Candidates should also be able to show previous experience in at least two of the additional duties listed below.
Primary Tasks
· Mitre saw operation (required)
Additional Tasks
· Product despatch (picking and packing)
· Export despatch
· Stock checking
· Goods inwards
· Product sample preparation
· Business improvement projects (e.g., warehouse reconfiguration)
Remuneration
Hourly earnings are £14.21+ per hour: £12.71 basic plus £1.50+ per hour productivity bonus.
Hours of work: 09:00–17:00, Monday to Thursday and 09:00–16:00 on Friday
Access to overtime during busy periods.
