Job Description:
Form Plants aspires to be the UK's leading plant nursery. To support our growing delivery operations, we are seeking a reliable, professional and safety-conscious Luton van driver to join our team.
As our delivery driver, you will play a vital role in transporting our extensive range of trees, shrubs, topiary and hedging to customers, contract sites and prestigious installations, including RHS flower shows and complex planting projects. This position requires careful handling of live plant stock, strong route planning, and a commitment to representing Form Plants professionally on the road.
Duties to include:
- Safely load, secure and transport plants and nursery stock via Luton van
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes across multiple sites
- Handle plants and equipment with care to avoid damage in transit
- Liaise professionally with customers and contract sites on delivery
- Complete delivery paperwork and update systems accurately
- Carry out basic vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues
- Assist with loading/unloading and occasional yard duties when required
Qualifications:
- Full UK driving licence held for a minimum of 3 years
- Must be 25 years of age or over (insurance requirement)
- Previous experience driving a Luton van or similar large vehicle preferred
- Good working knowledge of the local area and route planning
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy items regularly
- Friendly, reliable and well-presented, representing the company on-site
- Horticultural knowledge is a bonus but not essential
