Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts and Systems Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance across financial records. The Accounts Executive will play a vital part in maintaining the integrity of financial data, supporting budgeting processes, and assisting with accounts payable activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software - Xero.
- Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers.
- Reconcile accounts and prepare financial reports to support management decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis reports.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant financial regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information and resolve discrepancies.
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures efficiently.
- Maintain organised documentation for all financial transactions for audit purposes.
- Chase debts
- Learn and use internal systems to support the greater team within the business
Requirements
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within a similar industry.
- Proficiency in Xero is essential.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and reporting.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance are desirable but not mandatory.
