We have an exciting opportunity for a Progress Coach to join our Construction Department at Cardiff and Vale College.
Working closely with learners, curriculum staff and support services, you will play a key role in supporting students throughout their college journey. You will provide pastoral guidance, help learners overcome barriers to learning, improve attendance and engagement, and support them to achieve their full potential.
You will deliver high-quality one-to-one support and personal development activities, helping learners build the skills, confidence and behaviours needed to progress into further study, apprenticeships or employment within the construction industry.
Support learners to achieve their goals and progress successfully into further education, training or employment.
Provide pastoral support and intervention for learners experiencing challenges with attendance, punctuality, motivation, behaviour or wellbeing.
Monitor learner progress and conduct regular one-to-one reviews, setting targets and implementing appropriate support strategies.
Deliver engaging personal development and tutorial sessions that enhance learner confidence, resilience and employability skills.
Work closely with curriculum teams, parents/carers and support services to support learner engagement, retention and achievement.
Promote student participation in learner voice activities and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
You are passionate about supporting learners to achieve their potential and creating positive outcomes for young people.
You will have experience working in a pastoral, coaching, mentoring, education or learner support role and be confident building effective relationships with learners from a range of backgrounds.
You will be organised, proactive and able to manage a varied workload while maintaining accurate records and delivering timely interventions.
You will have excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to supporting learner success.
