Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and detail-oriented Part-Time Cleaner to join our team at Wacky Kingdom.
You will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for children, families and our team. The role involves general cleaning throughout the venue as well as regular cleaning and deep cleaning of our soft play areas and equipment.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail and can work efficiently and independently to maintain consistently high hygiene standards.
Responsibilities
- Carry out thorough cleaning of the venue, including floors, toilets, customer areas, staff areas and other facilities.
- Clean and sanitise soft play equipment and surrounding play areas.
- Pay particular attention to high-touch surfaces and areas frequently used by children and families.
- Sweep, vacuum and mop floors as required.
- Clean and sanitise toilets and washroom facilities to a high standard.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste correctly.
- Restock cleaning and washroom supplies when required.
- Follow established cleaning schedules, hygiene procedures and safety requirements.
- Complete scheduled deep cleaning of play equipment and other areas of the venue.
- Use cleaning products, chemicals and equipment safely and correctly.
- Identify and promptly report any maintenance, hygiene or safety concerns to management.
- Ensure all assigned cleaning tasks are completed thoroughly within the allocated shift.
- Assist with additional deep cleans and specialist cleaning tasks when required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning, leisure, hospitality or a similar environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and high personal standards of cleanliness.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work consistently to an agreed schedule.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good time-management and organisational skills.
- Understanding of the safe use of cleaning products and equipment.
- Ability to follow cleaning schedules, instructions and health & safety procedures.
- Comfortable carrying out physical cleaning duties, including standing, bending and lifting.
- Good communication skills and willingness to report any issues or concerns to management.
- Flexibility to work early mornings and/or evenings.
Working Hours
This is a part-time position, with cleaning primarily carried out during early mornings or evenings.
Typical shifts may include 6:00am–9:00am, 8:30pm-10:30pm or 9:00pm-12:00am, depending on operational requirements.
Additional hours may occasionally be available for scheduled deep cleaning and larger cleaning projects.
We are looking for someone who will take genuine ownership of the cleanliness of the venue and help us maintain the high standards expected in an environment designed for children and families.
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
