We are a well-established CNC machine shop specialising in precision engineering and are seeking an experienced and highly organised Storeman to play a key role in material control using our ERP system.
This position is critical to ensuring jobs are fully prepared, materials are available, and production schedules are met efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Stores & Inventory
- Receive, inspect, and manage materials
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and location control within the ERP system
- Conduct regular stocktakes and manage reordering to avoid shortages or delays
- Ensure stores and staging areas are organised, labelled, and production-ready
ERP & Systems
- Maintain accurate job, stock, and scheduling data within the ERP system
- Generate reports related to inventory, job status, and production planning
- Support continuous improvement of planning, scheduling, and stock control processes
About You:
- Proven experience in a CNC machine shop or manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of CNC production workflows and job scheduling
- Hands-on experience using ERP/MRP systems for planning and inventory control
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator able to coordinate between production, purchasing, and management
- Forklift licence desirable but not essential
