Storth Ltd is a long established and reputable family-owned company manufacturing Slurry Handling equipment for the Agricultural sector. Founded in 1999 our product range has expanded vastly selling our products in the UK as well as worldwide.
Storth is looking to recruit an Agricultural Parts Advisor to join our team at our Head Office in Burton in Kendal, near Carnforth Lancashire.
Job overview
- Process parts orders from customers that are received by telephone, email and through our online web-shop.
- Assist customers in identifying the correct parts required to repair / service their Storth machinery using electronic parts catalogues & manuals.
- Respond to all parts enquiries in a timely and helpful manner.
- Prepare quotations upon request for UK and overseas customers ensuring all details are correct and carriage costs have been correctly calculated.
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail checking all part numbers, descriptions and quantities before completing orders on Sage.
- Serve customers on a face-to-face basis.
- Assist in the completion of annual stock checks, recording stock accurately and checking products are in correct stock locations, showing good attention to detail.
- Notify the Warehouse Manager or Parts Manager of any products that appear to be running low and are due to be replenished.
- Ensure that Health and Safety standards are adhered to at all times keeping your areas of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency.
- Work effectively as part of a team and alone demonstrating a commitment to complete your work.
- Occasionally assist other departments to meet the workload demands of the company, and to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Communicate effectively with team members and colleagues.
Essential qualities for this role
- Agricultural experience / background
- Polite and friendly telephone manner
- Helpful “can do” attitude, keeping the customers needs at the forefront at all times
- Basic Maths, English & IT skills.
- Willingness to learn, and become familiar with the Storth product range.
- Reliable, with a good time keeping & attendance record.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
Advantageous (but not essential) qualities for this role
- Experience of previously working in a parts department (Automotive / Agricultural / Plant / HGV)
- Mechanical mindset
- Experience using Sage 50
