Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment across our premises, ensuring the protection of personnel, property, and assets. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and proactive security measures are essential, plus the job is 4 days on 4 days off. The position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to upholding safety standards.
Duties
- Conduct regular surveillance patrols across the site to monitor activity and identify potential security risks.
- Implement loss prevention strategies by recognising suspicious behaviour and preventing theft or damage.
- Respond promptly to security incidents, including alarms or disturbances, and escalate issues as necessary.
- Assist with access control procedures, verifying authorised personnel and visitors entering the premises.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks for record-keeping purposes.
- Provide first aid assistance when required, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with emergency services in case of incidents or emergencies, ensuring swift response.
Skills
- Valid SIA license (REQUIRED)
- Proven experience or training in surveillance techniques and loss prevention methods.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure during emergencies or high-stress situations.
- Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting incidents clearly.
- Basic first aid knowledge is highly desirable.
- Physically fit with the ability to patrol large areas on foot as needed. This role requires a dedicated individual committed to maintaining a secure environment through vigilant observation and prompt action. Candidates should possess a professional attitude, be organised, and demonstrate integrity at all times.
Pay: £13.00 per hour
