MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
As the Warehouse Team Leader, you will support the Warehouse Manager in maintaining work processes, safe working practices and the general efficient running of the business. This role will enable the successful applicant to develop skills and take on further responsibility within the team. Duties include the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse materials, goods and products to feed business operations and customer demand.
ACCOUNTABILITES
This role will involve the following responsibilities:
- Deputise for the Warehouse Manager in their absence.
- Escalate all issues to the Warehouse Manager.
- Review and maintain a high standard of work and housekeeping.
- Ensure compliance with company Health & Safety requirements and report deviations to Warehouse Manager.
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
- Assisting goods in.
- Breaking down pallets.
- Storing stock appropriately.
- Key Holder Duties
- Move stock around either by hand, using lifting equipment or a forklift truck.
- General warehouse maintenance duties.
- Using handheld scanners to pick orders for delivery.
- Picking and packing.
- Inputting data into computers.
- Assisting with stock takes.

SKILLS KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Essential Skills & Experience
· Experience working in a Warehouse role
· Capable of setting an example through good working practices.
· Capable of dealing with situations to produce a positive outcome
· Excellent verbal and written communication
· Experience of manual handling
· Good time keeping and attendance record
· Must be an excellent team player
· Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
· Be willing to follow all health and safety guidelines.
· Be willing to work overtime and flexible to work different shifts as and when necessary
· Forklift (Counter & Reach)
· Be willing to undergo any internal/external training that may be required.
Desirable Skills & Experience
· Previous ERP Experience, in particular WMS Kerridge.
· Full Driving Licence
