Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Architectural Technologist and Contract Manager on residential architectural projects from conception through to completion.
We are a small architectural practice specialising in residential extensions, renovations and new-build projects. This is a varied, primarily remote role supporting the Practice Director with administration and technical coordination for the delivery of projects.
Regular travel to client meetings and project sites across Surrey and South West London will be required.
Essential Skills and Experience
- A minimum of three years’ demonstrable experience in residential site and contract management.
- Strong proficiency in both AutoCAD and Revit.
- Experience preparing UK planning and Building Regulations drawing packages.
- A sound understanding of residential construction, sequencing and site delivery.
- Experience reviewing contractor quotations, variations and project costs.
- Willing and able to travel regularly to meetings and project sites.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Manage the day-to-day coordination of multiple residential projects.
- Liaise professionally with clients, consultants, Building Control, builders and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and amend accurate architectural drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Oversee the preparation of technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and manage several projects simultaneously.
- Attend client, project and site meetings, both remotely and in person.
- Monitor project programmes, progress, outstanding decisions and technical information.
- Coordinate structural engineers and other specialist consultants.
- Possible growth to be involved in planning and design.
- Obtain, review and compare contractor and supplier quotations, identifying omissions, discrepancies and unclear allowances.
- Respond to construction queries and help coordinate practical technical solutions.
- Undertake periodic site visits, prepare progress reports and identify apparent departures from the approved drawings.
- Assist with snagging, completion information and handover documentation.
- Maintain accurate project records, drawing revisions, meeting notes and action lists.
- Provide clear progress updates and promptly escalate technical, commercial or programme concerns to the Practice Director.
A full UK driving licence and access to a car would be advantageous but are not essential. Please provide CV and supporting documents with your application.

Pay: £38,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
