Role summary:
To ensure the delivery and collection commitments of the logistics department are achieved at a consistently high standard, cost efficiently and with a strong focus on customer experience. To coordinate our own colleagues and those of our Logistics Services Providers (“LSPs”) to monitor daily performance and resolve all delivery and returns issues promptly, positively and efficiently.
Skills/Responsibilities:
To be successful in this role you will need to:
- Supervise the Logistics Service team to ensure that they are properly trained; that the daily workload is allocated and covered amongst the team; and that all work is done to a consistently high standard.
- Work with the Branch Logistics Manager to ensure that all appraisal, disciplinary, holiday and other HR matters are managed with in line with company policies.
- Ensure that you and your team use the available systems to monitor outbound deliveries and customer returns throughout the day in order to ensure any delays or other issues are picked up and resolved promptly with our Logistics Services Providers (“LSPs”).
- Ensure that teams messages, emails and calls from customers, carriers and internal staff are resolved by the team in a prompt, polite and reliable way to ensure the best possible outcome for our end-user customers.
- Ensure that delivery issues are logged quickly and efficiently to ensure that correct KPI figures are produced.
- Work to achieve targets and goals set and agreed with the Branch Logistics Manager.
