Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-in Carer to provide exceptional 24-hour support to a lady living in their own home. This vital role involves delivering comprehensive personal care, assisting with daily activities, household duties, accompanying to appointments and ensuring the client feels safe, comfortable, and valued. Duties
- Provide personalised assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Administer medications accurately following care plans and document all medication-related activities
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and preferences
- Support the client with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment
- Engage the client in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional wellbeing
- Manage behavior challenges with patience and effective behavior management techniques
- Drive the client to appointments or errands as needed, ensuring safe transportation and adherence to schedules
Skills
- Proven assisted living or home care experience with elderly or vulnerable adults
- Strong patient care skills, and senior care expertise
- Knowledge of medication administration, first aid, and basic nursing practices
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate support
- Ability to perform physical tasks required for caregiving duties
- Valid driving license is a must for transportation responsibilities
- Experience in caregiving roles and a minimum of a NVQ2
