Are you a skilled Commercial Gas Engineer looking for your next long-term move? We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established building services contractor for an experienced Maintenance Gas Engineer to join their Facilities Management division. You'll be working across a varied portfolio of sites, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of commercial and domestic gas systems, with genuine scope to build a stable, rewarding career within a growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and installation works
- Fault find, diagnose, repair and service gas systems
- Work on commercial and domestic gas boilers, heating systems, pipework, gas-fired water heaters, air handling units and radiant tube heaters
- Complete gas safety checks, testing and certification in line with Gas Safe regulations
- Respond to reactive callouts and participate in the on-call rota
- Produce quotes for repair and installation works
- Maintain accurate records on the CAFM system
- Ensure compliance with SLAs, gas regulations and health & safety standards
- Travel between multiple sites as required
About You
- ACS Gas qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT1, HTR1, COCN1 or equivalent)
- Proven experience in gas maintenance, servicing, fault finding and installation
- Experience working on commercial and/or domestic systems
- Strong understanding of gas safety regulations and compliance
- Experience within Facilities Management or building services preferred
- Good IT skills, including CAFM systems or similar
- Flexible approach and willingness to join the on-call rota
Desirable:
- Commercial catering qualifications (COMCAT 1-5)
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing & Heating
- Experience with HVAC systems and controls
