Chef – Red Brick
As a Chef, you'll be responsible for preparing fresh, high-quality food that meets our standards every time. You'll play an important part in keeping the kitchen organised, maintaining excellent food safety practices, and ensuring our customers receive consistently great products throughout the day.
Key ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation & Quality
- Prepare fresh ingredients for our bagels, sandwiches, and other menu items, including vegetables, meats, pickles, fillings, and toppings.
- Produce food to our recipes and specifications, ensuring consistency in flavour, portioning, and presentation.
- Prepare ingredients in advance to support a smooth and efficient service.
- Monitor the quality and freshness of ingredients, ensuring only the best products are served.
Kitchen Organisation
- Complete daily preparation tasks and manage your workload to keep the kitchen service-ready.
- Maintain an organised workspace and ensure ingredients and equipment are stored correctly.
- Support efficient kitchen operations by following established processes and procedures.
Food Safety & Cleanliness
- Follow all food hygiene, health and safety, and allergen procedures at all times.
- Keep your workstation clean, tidy, and sanitised throughout your shift.
- Carry out cleaning duties for kitchen equipment, utensils, storage areas, and food preparation surfaces.
- Help maintain a safe working environment by reporting any hazards or equipment issues promptly.
Teamwork & Communication
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver excellent customer service.
- Communicate clearly during busy periods to ensure orders are prepared accurately and efficiently.
- Support colleagues wherever needed to help the team achieve its daily goals.
What We're Looking For
- Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is an advantage, but a willingness to learn is equally important.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality food.
- The ability to remain organised and work calmly in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude, reliability, and a team-first approach.
- Good understanding of food hygiene and safe working practices.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and bank holidays as required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
